Flixkit is a family filmmaking service operated by More Than Software LLC. This policy covers our website, app, account services, and film processing. We collect information to run the service, support families, secure accounts, and handle purchases. We do not sell family data.
Accounts are held by adults
You create an account as an adult (18+) and confirm you’re the grown-up in charge. We collect your email and, optionally, a display name. Children do not have their own accounts.
Your films and recordings
Recordings and finished films are stored privately with account access controls. Submitted source clips remain stored for rendering and retries, including failed or cancelled jobs. Rendering does not automatically delete them, and there is no time-based expiration of submitted source clips. Explicit film restart, film deletion, or account deletion releases the relevant inputs through our deletion queue. Active jobs and shared references are checked before removal; a request is not an assurance of immediate erasure from every system. Unused outtakes can be removed separately. Download films you want to keep before deleting them.
Analytics — IDs and counts only
We measure how the product is used so we can improve it, using a first-party system we built ourselves (no third-party ad trackers). Our analytics are strictly limited to identifiers and enums — never child names, film titles, cast names, free text, faces, voices, transcripts, or precise location. A privacy guard enforces this on the device and again on our server before any event is stored.
What we collect
- Account data: email, optional display name, and the dates you confirmed adulthood and accepted the terms, and document versions and signup surface when supplied by the signup flow.
- Content: your recordings and rendered films, stored privately for your use.
- Product analytics: anonymous/account identifiers and event names (e.g. “film_created”) — no personal content.
- Marketing: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email and how you found us so we can reach you and understand which channels work.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We use family recordings to provide filmmaking features, not to create advertising profiles.
- We never run third-party advertising trackers on children.
Your choices
You can update your details, delete your films, unsubscribe from email, and request deletion of your account and associated data. To make a privacy request, email privacy@flixkit.app.
Children’s privacy (COPPA)
Flixkit accounts are for adults. Adults control family recordings, which may contain children’s images and voices, and must have authority to upload and process them. We do not offer child accounts. If a child has created an account or you believe information has been mishandled, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Processing providers and AI
Hosting, storage, payment, email, and processing providers receive the information needed for their work. Supabase supports accounts and private storage; Stripe processes web payments. Our render infrastructure uses Google Cloud and, for supported AI features, private Modal services for tasks such as transcription, image processing, and effects. These tasks can process images, audio, and derived transcripts from your recordings. KIT authoring also uses AI providers for template media and text; that is distinct from processing your family recordings. Support tools may process information you submit in a support request. We do not promise that every provider has zero retention or that all provider training settings have been independently verified. Contact us for details about a feature.
Service records and international processing
Account, purchase, support, security, and operational records are separate from film files. We retain records needed to provide the service, resolve issues, prevent abuse, and meet applicable obligations. Providers may process information in countries other than your own. We do not promise a particular backup-erasure period. You can request access, correction, or deletion through the privacy contact below; we may need to verify your request. Applicable privacy rights remain available to you.
